What to have ready

Documents you can upload

You don't need everything, and you don't need it all at once — add documents whenever you get them. ImmigrationUSA reads each one and fills your forms for you, so you review instead of retype. No document? Just answer a few simple questions instead.

No document needed — you'll just answer

A few answers don't come from any document and are simply entered in the questionnaire: race and ethnicity; height, weight, eye and hair color; the DS-260 security/background questions; and any social-media usernames.

Good news: about 80% of the hard details — names, dates of birth, A-numbers, passport numbers, and addresses — come straight off just five everyday documents: your passport, birth certificate, green card or naturalization certificate, I-94, and a tax return or W-2.

Ready when you are.

Upload what you have today and add the rest later. Everything you enter is saved automatically, and you review every detail before anything reaches your forms.
